Policies at Chintech
General :
Student should maintain complete discipline on and off the campus.
Student should follow proper dress code as specified by the Institute.
Student should ensure cleanliness of campus and classrooms.
Student should attend library or lab in free time (even short period during Lunch break etc.)
Mobile phones should be switched off in the campus.
Student should be punctual for class/lab/seminar hours.
Students should not roam around the campus during class/lab/seminar hours.
Attendance is compulsory on all working days. Absence will be permitted only with a valid reason, and if informed in advance to the class coordinator.
Main aim of joining Chintech is to learn and each student is responsible for their own learning; Faculty and staff members are there to support them in learning.
Student should leave desks and chairs in right position in classroom after the class.
Student should not use classroom for taking Lunch etc., make use of canteen premises.
Bringing any kind of Non-vegetarian food to Chinmaya campus is strictly prohibited.
No
Waste of food in canteen; you are being charged for eating not for
wasting; If you continue to waste food, we may have to charge for
wasted food. Wasting of food in India is a crime where majority of
population lives below poverty line.
On
Attending Lectures :
Student should make sure that he/she has finished any reading assignment assigned by the teacher before attending the lecture.
Student should be attentive in class.
Student should be interactive in class.
Do not hesitate to ask doubts if any.
Student should go through the topics covered in class each day.
On Assignments :
Student should go through the course web page everyday to find any new/pending assignments.
There are three different kinds of assignments: Reading Assignment, Home/Written Assignment and Lab assignment.
Students are expected to finish the reading assignment before attending the lecture.
Students are expected to complete the written assignment within the stipulated time.
Students are expected to complete the lab assignment within the stipulated time. These are apart from the scheduled laboratory class.
All written assignments should be submitted at/before 8:30 AM on the specified day.
All written/lab assignments should be the original work.
On Seminars :
Refer the Seminar guidelines for students available on the college website.
On Lab Sessions :
For attending computer labs student should keep shoes at designated place.
Correct the Computer lab chair back and tighten the back support in upright position before starting each lab session.
Student should leave chairs in right position after finishing their lab work.

On Mini Project/Final Project :
Refer to the Project guidelines available on college website.
On Series Exams :
Series Exam schedule will be publicized at the beginning of the semester.
Three Series Exams (theory) will be held each Semester.
The duration of the exam will be two hours.
The questions will be divided into two sections, Part – A will contain five questions carrying 4 marks each, and Part-B will contain 5 questions carrying 6 marks each.
There will only be two Lab Series per semester.

On Conducting Re-exams :
Re-exams will be conducted only once at the end of each semester, for every subject, if required.
A student can appear for the re-exam provided he/she has missed more than one series, with a valid reason.
The portions for the re-exam will be decided by the concerned faculty.
On Course Web Page :
For each Subject (including Lab) a “course page” is will be maintained by concerned teacher(s). The course page shall include the following:
Course Policies, explicitly mentioning details of the course, what are our expectations, what students are supposed to do, what is acceptable and what is not and your policy for calulating CSA marks.
Schedule of course- the class schedule planned in advance and date-wise/topic-wise and put on the web page at the beginning of the semester.
Course materials to be put on the web server in advance and date-wise/topic-wise. The course materials should be date-wise/topic-wise. Course material shall be put in pdf format, not sxi or ppt.
Information regarding reading assignments for each lecture shall be put at least one week in advance on the course page and students be told about it. For reading assignments, we need to specify the sections students have to read for each lecture.
Information regarding home/written assignments for each lecture should be put at least two days in advance on the course web page and students be informed about it.
Lab questions will be put in course page before the lab sessions. It can be put week-wise.
Ccopied/downloaded Written/Lab Assignments are strictly prohibitted. Strict action shall be taken on those students found guilty.

based on academic performance, first two students
