Responsibilities of Officer-in-Charge Administration include :
- Ensuring proper co-ordination between all other O/Cs
- Maintaining proper relationship between all other
organizations.
- Ensuring total discipline of the campus
- Finding the requirements of all staffs.
- Admission
- Issuing notices related with institution.
- Looking up the infrastructure.
- Take care of security.
- Recruitment.
- Attendance
- Possibilities of new courses.
- Ensure that no Institute Locks' keys be handed over to the
students (except in extra-ordinary circumstances class-room keys to
open class room in morning).
Responsibilities of Officer-in-Charge Academics include :
- Engages students in active learning.
- Sets and communicates high expectations for student learning.
- Prepare schedule of series exams at the beginning of semester and notify the students so that students are given adequate opportunity to plan their work properly.
- Ensure the smooth conduct of exams held at the institute by
- preparing the schedule of invigilators before the
commencement of exams
- prepare the class room for exams
- Prepare the consolidated marks list (series)
- Display the mark list in the notice board within two weeks.
- Send the Marks to the parent
- Prepare the consolidated CSA Mark list after the third series
- Display the CSA Mark list
- Send the Consolidated CSA to University
- Analyze the performance of students.
- Motivate,encourage and advise students.
- Correspond with the University on academics related matters
- Interaction with students on academic related matters
- Keeping copies of past university question papers
- Ensuring that Course Web Pages are up to date
Responsibilities of Officer-in-Charge, Student Affairs include :
- Promote a fair, humane, and responsible environment for all
members of the campus community.
- Discuss personal concerns.
- Concerns about issueson campus.
- Identifying interpreting and serving student needs.
- To develop institutional policies that are congruent with the cultural/social
students and institutional values.<
- Providing clear and accurate information regarding institutional policies procedures and programmes.
- To counsel and advise students regarding their personal concerns and academic needs.
- To arrange social and cultural activities for students.
- Educational Tours to Industries & Projects.
- Helps students develop coherent values and ethical standards.
- Uses systematic inquiry to improve student and institutional performance.
- Uses resources effectively to achieve institutional missions and goals.
- Forges educational partnerships that advance student learning.
Responsibilities of Officer-in-Charge, Training and Placement include :
- Conducting Training Programmes for Career Planning
& Development, Job Interviews and Total Personality Development.
- Conducting Alumni Association Activities.
- Maintaining Industrial contacts and image building activities on behalf of the College.
- Arrange Job placement through campus interviews
- Practical training during vacations:Summer training in
industries (4 to 6 weeks duration) and visits to industries are to be
arranged.
- Career counseling and training: Training &
Placement Section gives career counseling & guidance and conducts
training programmes for career planning, job interviews & total personality development.
- Career information centre: Career Information Centre
for higher studies, job opportunities, practical training etc should be maintained.
- A career lab
should be established for career guidance to the students with the
following facilities:
- Resource library of career field and employer literature
- On-line personality profiling
- Psychometric analysis and
- Self-development modules.
The careers lab is aimed at developing extra curricular and social skills among students.
- T and P activities to be conducted.
- In addition to facilitating vacation training and the T&P section organizes
programmes on campus interviews like group discussions case studies,
mock interviews etc. some of the programmes organized should be:
- Training Programme on "Personality development communication skills"
- Training Programme on "Interpersonal & Communication skills"
- An insight into job interviews
- Programme on "Technology Management"
- Programme on "Personal Effectiveness for Girl students"
- Expert lectures on "Making a successful career" and "Tips for job
interviews"
Responsibilities of Officer-in-Charge, Laboratory include :
- Ensure Availability of Internet services. Make
sure that no Windows machine is allowed to be connected to the
net.
- Ensure Availability of lab facility to students
- Maintenance of Equipments in the lab
- Ensure discipline in lab
- Ensure cleanliness in lab
- Getting the lab prepared for Lab exam
- Ensure availability of s/w for the curriculum
- Verification of Laboratory registers periodically
- Monitor the work of lab assistants. Ensure that they do not
- accept floppy disks and CDs from students for what ever purpose.
- allow students to enter the server room expect in emergency.
- use all air conditioners (keep them at low, depending on student strength in lab and temperature).
- At the beginning of each lab check to be sure all systems are ready for the students to use
- Ensure that rules and regulations of Lab are followed by students
Responsibilities of Officer-in-Charge, Timetable include :
- Prepare the time table at the start of the semester.
- Distribute the copies of timetable to all faculties in advance.
- Display the timetable in the college notice board.
- Try to make the work load balanced.
